He later worked at Smith Mazure Director Wilkins Young & Yagerman, gaining further experience in civil litigation, product liability, and construction law. Monteverde holds a Juris Doctor degree with distinction from St. Thomas University School of Law, where he was actively involved as a staff editor for the Law Review and as president of the student newspaper, Plead the 5th. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business and finance from California State University at Northridge.
